Dr. Tyler Bolin is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky but grew to love Lexington during his time at the University of Kentucky where he received both his undergraduate and dental degrees.
Following dental school, Dr. Bolin completed a general practice residency at the University of Virginia. This was a two year advanced training program in general dentistry where residents have the opportunity to treat patients of various backgrounds and medical histories. Dr. Bolin served as Chief Resident taking on the role of coordinating and providing treatment to patients with medical complexities including head and neck cancer, organ failure, bleeding disorders and children with special needs. Additionally, the program provided extensive training in general dentistry including dental implants, sedation, removal of wisdom teeth, and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Bolin is an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry overseeing dental students as they treat patients. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentisty (AGD), American Dental Association (ADA), Kentucky Dental Association (KDA) and Bluegrass Dental Society. He also enjoys serving at The Refuge Clinic whenever possible.
During undergrad, Tyler met his wife Rachel where all true love starts...at a UK basketball game in Rupp Arena. They are long time followers at Southland Christian Church and enjoy their time off with their son, Brown, and dog, Russ. Dr. Bolin enjoys anything that brings their friends and family together, golfing, hiking, and all things UK athletics - Go Cats!
